Enrolment Information

Selection and enrolment at Nova Institute of Technology (NIT) is carried out in an ethical and responsible manner and we encourage people to apply for enrolment without discrimination through a variety of means. Students must complete an enrolment form and provide all relevant information (e.g. date of birth, proof of pre-requisite study) prior to commencing a course or program.

Agents

Nova Institute of Technology partners with trusted education agents to assist students in their application process and provide guidance on course selection, visa requirements, and more. Below is a list of all agents officially registered with NIT, ensuring students receive reliable and professional support.

 

If you’re an education agent interested in collaborating with us, we welcome you to join our network.

Application Form

Students must abide by institute rules at all times. This includes conduct during time spent on college premises, in class and in accommodation arranged by Nova Institute of Technology. We reserve the right to discipline or expel students whose conduct is unsatisfactory.

Conditions of Enrolment

Payments by credit card (Visa, MasterCard and American Express) will attract a 2% fee.

Apply for a Letter of Offer

You can complete this directly through your agent or on your own by filling out the Student Application Form here. Be sure to include your desired course start date.

Are you Overseas?

If you are outside of Australia, check your eligibility and fill this form
Genuine Student (GS) Form

Once you complete this process, you will receive a Letter of Offer (LOO), which you’ll need to sign before proceeding with the COE application.

Check your email

Please check your junk email folder for a message from notifications@zohodesk.novainstitute.com.au to respond, click the “Reply” button within the email — avoid copying and pasting the sender’s address into a new message.

You have received your Letter of Offer

Your Letter of Offer (LOO) is valid for 3 months if you’re outside Australia and 2 days if you’re within Australia. Please ensure your personal information is accurate, including the correct spelling of your name, passport details, and any other relevant information.

 

Apply for you COE (Confirmation of Enrollment)

You will receive all relevant information on the ticket where we send you your Letter of Offer. However, you can apply on this link: Certificate of Enrollment (COE)  Remember that you need to upload all relevant information:

 

  • • Signed Letter of Offer
  • • Receipt for Initial Payment Fees
  • • English test certificate (if applied). If you don’t have an English certificate, please complete this Placement test (only onshore students)
  • • Valid visa copy (if applied)
  • • Year 12 school certificate
  • Any other relevant academic document

 

All documents must be translated into English.

USI (Unique Student Identifier)

Upon your arrival you need to generate a USI number which is your individual education number for life. It also gives you an online record of your vocational education and training (VET) undertaken in Australia. If you don’t have it, please check this page.

What you need to know!

Enrolment & Orientation

Join Nova Institute of Technology (NIT)
At NIT, we make enrolment fair and easy for everyone. Just fill out the enrolment form and provide necessary info.

Orientation Day

Your first day kicks off with an orientation program to introduce you to our services, facilities, and procedures. We’ll provide all the info you need about your course, local services, and facilities.

Support and Guidance

Settling into a new culture and education system can be challenging, but we’re here to help. Whether you need health insurance, housing assistance, transport info, or fun weekend activity suggestions, our Student Liaison Officer (SLO) is here to support you.

Language, Literacy & Numeracy Support

We understand that everyone has different needs in language, literacy, and numeracy. To help you succeed, NIT offers free English support classes alongside your courses. As part of the orientation, you’ll need to complete a form to access these services. You will get them on the orientation email. You must complete and send it back. We also adjust our teaching and assessment methods when needed to give you the best chance of success.

Student Complaints & Appeals Procedure

Any academic or non-academic complaints that you may have will be dealt with fairly. Students are encouraged to achieve their personal best through the provision of valid learning and assessment tools and strategies that are most suited to the students’ diverse needs. 

Nova Institute of Technology has a fair and open Complaints Policy to address any student complaints or appeals and provides that outcomes are recorded in writing. For more information, please refer to Complaints and Appeals Policy here: Policies and Procedure

Assessment, RPL & Credit Transfer

At NIT, we ensure all training packages and accredited courses meet the required standards through proper assessment processes. We encourage students to apply for Credit Transfer and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) during enrolment if they have done a similar course before. You’ll need to complete an RPL Application form and get guidance from our admissions staff on the evidence needed to support your request.

Deferral, Suspension & Cancellation of Enrolment

Student enrolment can be deferred, suspended, or cancelled by either NIT or the student in specific circumstances. First check your eligibility and complete this form.  If NIT initiates this, you have the right to appeal the decision. Change of Campus

Once they are enrolled, students can change their campus under specific circumstances. Please check if the course is available and there are slots available. Apply here

Transfer Request Assessment

Following ESOS standard 7, NIT cannot enrol a student transferring from another provider’s course until they complete six months of their principal course of study. For more information, check out our Transfer Request Assessment Policy
