Am I Eligible for a Government Funded Course in Adelaide?
The Australian government has a number of programs available to help people find new jobs, update skills or improve their current position. These include courses funded by both state and federal governments as well as private learning institutions that offer training in various fields, including economics, business management, or information technology.
Government funding for courses is available to those who qualify. The requirements vary depending on the course, but eligibility can be determined by a number of factors, including:
- You must live or work in South Australia.
- You must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or
- a permanent resident or
- have the appropriate visa status.
and are:
- 16 years or over and not enrolled at school, or
- enrolled in Year 10, 11 or 12 and employed in a Training Contract that combines VET and school-based curriculum including SACE, or
- enrolled in Year 11, 12 or 13 and are 16 years of age or turning 16 years of age in the current year of that enrolment, and
- are undertaking SACE or equivalent.
